prof-simon-jobsonSimon Jobson is Professor of Sport and Exercise Physiology in the Department of Sport and Exercise at the University of Winchester. Building on a PhD awarded in the area of cycling performance physiology, Simon’s research interests focus on the assessment of cycling performance and the mathematical modelling of cycle training. He has published much of his research work in academic sports science literature and has contributed to many articles in the cycling press. As a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist, Simon provides sports science support for cyclists of all abilities, including coaching a multiple National Masters Champion and two World Record holders.

 

Dom Irvine

Dominic Irvine is the Founding member of Epiphanies LLP (www.epiphaniesllp.com), a UK-based learning and development consultancy that helps people think and act profitably through developing their knowledge and skills in innovation, management and leadership. Dominic has worked with leaders in multinational businesses in over 30 countries and writes for a number of business publications on a range of management issues.

In his spare time he is a record-breaking ultra-distance cyclist. On 7 May 2015, along with his riding partner and support team, Dominic set a new record for Land’s End to John o’Groats on a tandem, taking one day, 21 hours, 11 minutes to ride the 842 miles (1,365km). You can read about this record breaking ride, here. Dominic has also competed in a number of other on- and off-road ultra-distance events.
